Feld Entertainment is bringing two family sporting events to the Atlanta area this winter.  If you love Monster Trucks and/or Motorcycles, you're in luck!

The first event to come to ATL is the Monster Jam.  Monster Jam events are affordably-priced for the whole family with seats starting under $20. $5 adult discount tickets are available at participating Advanced Auto Parts Stores.

Monster Jam will be performing at the Georgia Dome on Saturday, January 15th for one night only with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.  You can also buy an additional ticket for a Party in the Pits starting at 2 and running until 4:45.

Party in the Pits gives fans the opportunity to get a view of the trucks up close and meet the drivers of the massive monster trucks. A Saturday event ticket, along with a Pit Pass is required for entry.

The event will feature USHRA Monster Trucks including Grave Digger®, Superman, Maximum Destruction®, El Toro Loco®, Captain's Curse®, Madusa, Advance Auto Parts Grinder™, Monster Mutt®, Black Stallion, Iron Warrior, Gunslinger, War Wizard, Instigator, Stone Crusher, and Mopar Magic! Subject to change without notice.

Approximately 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, monster trucks are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds. Built for short, high-powered bursts of speed, monster trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Monster trucks can fly up to125 to 130 feet (a distance greater than 14 cars side by side) and up to 35 feet in the air.

Monster Jam, sanctioned by the United States Hot Rod Association®, is the most popular monster truck tour, performing to over 4 million fans annually at the most prestigious arenas and stadiums throughout the world. Monster Jam® shows consist of three main fan-favorite elements – the pit party, racing, and freestyle. The pit party gives all fans a chance to meet the stars of Monster Jam up-close while taking pictures and getting autographs.

The second event to be coming to the ATL area is the Nuclear Cowboys.  Nuclear Cowboyz Freestyle Chaos is the legend of two powerful freestyle motocross tribes, the Soldiers of Havoc and the Metal Mulisha™, whose survival in their post-apocalyptic world is told through gravity defying and fearless freestyle motocross aerial feats. The Nuclear Cowboyz mayhem and chaos is literally set in extreme non-stop motion when the tribes are challenged by a dark underworld that begins the ultimate battle for world supremacy.

The Nuclear Cowboyz Freestyle Chaos tour has the greatest cast of freestyle motocross riders ever assembled, including Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg, Adam Jones, Ronnie Faisst, Mike Mason, Taka Higashino, Beau Bamburg, Derek Garland, Nixey Danielson, Jim McNeil, Derek Garland, Brody Wilson, Jimmy Fitzpatrick and Dustin Miller. In addition to these world renowned freestyle motocross riders, trials riders Geoff Aaron and Keith Whineland, along with quad riders Derek Guetter and Colton Moore, take their apocalyptic power to the massive ramps, conveying the action-packed narrative through choreographed, synchronized awe-inspiring tricks and the Nuclear Cowgirlz dancers.

The non-stop, aerial amazement of this new theatrical experience in freestyle motocross entertainment will travel to 12 North American cities in 2011 with a stop at Philips Arena in Atlanta on Feb. 5.
