As long as we are talking about Camp Minnie Mickey, let me tell you about one of the best shows I have ever had the privilege of watching at Walt Disney World. The show is The Festival of the Lion King, and it is located at Camp Minnie Mickey, right before you get to the character "camp."
If you have skipped this show in the past, you MUST make it a point to visit and watch it during your next visit.
It is a show filled with entertainment GALORE! The acrobatic fun is amazing; the singers are out-of-this-world talented; and of course, there are the more-than-life-sized animals and characters from the movie.
It is truly an exciting show to watch, and if you are lucky enough, your family might even get picked to participate!
The show takes place in an air-conditioned timber theater (to continue the feeling of being in the Adirondacks), and once everyone is seated for this 30-min. show, the performers will separate the seating sections into four different "parts" that will be used during the show--elephant, giraffe, warthog, and lion.
Once the show starts, HUGE floats roll out with your favorite Disney Animal King characters on them, along with some new entertainers. That is where the fun of this show starts. Below are just a few of my pictures from the show. I hope you will enjoy them!
If you think you'd like to visit this high-energy and interactive show, you can get more information from Allearsnet.com.
