You know these guys....the are the Harlem Globetrotters! ...and they are coming to ATL's Philips Arena on Saturday, March 12th!
If you are unfamiliar with the Globetrotters, the are known as the magicians of basketball and are currently celebrating their 85th year of entertaining basketball! They have played more than 25,000 games, entertaining everyone from Presidents to Popes!
For their 2011 North American tour, every Globetrotters game will feature two designated 4-point shooting spots on each side of midcourt, each located 35 feet from the basket (the spots are 12 feet beyond the NBA’s official 3-point line).
The 4-point option is expected to further open up the playing floor for the Globetrotters as well as their opponents, the Generals, and is expected to generate even more high-scoring action and competitive play.
Sounds like a lot of fun, doesn't it? If you would like to see the Globetrotters, you can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster and get an $8 discount on the tickets!
