Yes!  Sesame Street is coming to Atlanta and Philips Arena!  I am so excited.  I am a Sesame Street and Muppets fanatic, and this show just so happens to be about one of my all-time favorite muppets--Super Grover.  Do you remember him?  Grover was always my favorite Sesame Street character, and I am "super" excited to find out this new show is about him:
Calling all super heroes!  Super Grover has lost his super-ness!  Never fear, the fabulous five Super Heroes are here -- featuring Elmo as Captain Fuzzy!  Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Zoe, and all their furry friends are on a quest to put the “super” back in Super Grover.  Singing and dancing their way through fun lessons on healthy habits, they discover how exercise, rest, nutritious food and good hygiene can save Super Grover -- and turn your children into Super Heroes, too!  You’ll be feeling good when Elmo’s Super Heroes! comes to town.
Sesame Street Live will be a a larger-than-life, musical touring stage production featuring Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie…and more.  Each performance will be 90 minutes of singing, dancing, and audience participation, including a 15-minute intermission.  Which, as you know, is a perfect length for very young children.

The show will have eight (8) performances, and tickets are now on sale at all Ticketmaster locations.  You can call and charge tickets by phone at 800-745-3000.

Ticket prices range in price from $17 to $90 (Sunny Seats), but on opening night, all seats will be $14 (exlcuding the Sunny Seats).  If you are going to have a big group of 10 or more, you can get a group discount!  Just call 404.878.FUNN (3866)!

If you are interested in the Sunny Seats, a package is available that includes a VIP Seat and a pre-show Meet & Greet photo opportunity with two Sesame Street Live friends!

But luckily for you, Debbie's A Day Late and a Dollar Short has been given four (4) tickets to give away!  (These tickets can only be redeemed at the box office, and each one will be exchanged for a hard ticket when you arrive.)

You may want to use your vouchers early, if you win, as the vouchers are not guaranteed a seat to specific performances (if a performance sells out).  Each ticket (voucher) is good for any $21 ticket to the any of the Sesame Street Live shows.

Here is how the contest will work:
  • The contest will run from now until Labor Day (9/5), and I will pick the winner on Tuesday, 9/6.

  • You will get an entry for every comment you leave below.  Here are the ways to leave a comment.

  • Leave (1) comment telling us why you would like to win these tickets.

  • Visit, "Like," and leave (1) comment on the Philips Arena facebook page; then come back here and leave a comment telling us you posted there.

Think you can handle all those entries?  When it's all said and done, you should have a grand total of six (6) entries!
