I just found out about this last week (yes, I am normally late to everything - hence the name of this blog), but posting to tell you about these neat new collector cards from Disney and D23 (Disney's Official Fan Club):
"Be the first to own a piece of Disney history with Disney Studios Collector Cards. Created by The Walt Disney Studios, these highly collectible cards are rich with Disney history and colorful images—and some surprises!—from classic films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Bambi, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and more!
Each card is an oversized 3″ x 4.5″ and branded with a gold-foil Disney Studios stamp, and each pack of eight cards includes a limited-edition, individually numbered mini-lithograph, a sericel-inspired translucent card. Walt Disney Archives Director Becky Cline shared fascinating facts pulled directly from the Archives for the “Behind the Scenes with Becky Cline” cards found in each pack."
The D23-exclusive set (pictured above), which was limited to 1,000, is now sold out. The remaining 2,000 sets of “series one” cards are available exclusively to D23 Members through August 31, 2012. On September 1, 2012 any remaining “series one” cards will become available to the general public.

Plus, D23 Members have the first chance to purchase these cards, which are not available to the general public until September 1, 2012.
Note: The cost of the first pack of eight cards is $1.95 including shipping and processing (plus the D23 Member exclusive set). Subsequent shipments—two packs of eight per shipment—are $7.95 for each pack, plus shipping and processing. No minimum purchase is required.
My kids and I love this type of thing (like I really need another Disney item to collect) - at least this appears able to be kept in a binder of some sort for easier organizing and storing!  Use the link above to visit Disney's D23 page and find out more about these special cards.

I'm excited to get my first set in the mail!  I love when I get Disney mail!
