THE PRODUCERS, the winningest musical in Broadway history, returns to Atlanta after an 8-year absence playing the Fox Theatre January 25-31.

THE PRODUCERS won a record 12 Tony Awards and sets the standard for modern, outrageous, in-your-face humor.

Bialystock and Bloom!  Those names should strike terror and hysteria in anyone familiar with Mel Brooks’ classic cult comedy film.  The plot is simple: a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer and his mild-mannered accountant come up with a scheme to produce the most notorious flop in history thereby bilking their backers (all "little old ladies") out of millions of dollars. Only one thing goes awry: the show is a smash hit! At the core of the insanely funny adventure is a poignant emotional journey of two very different men who become friends.

With a truly hysterical book co-written by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan (ANNIE) and music and lyrics by Mr. Brooks, THE PRODUCERS skewers Broadway traditions and takes no prisoners as it proudly proclaims itself an "equal opportunity offender!" 

THE PRODUCERS will play the Fabulous Fox Theatre from January 25 - 31, 2013.  Eight performances are as follows:  Friday, January 25 at 8:00PM; Saturday, January 26 at 2:00PM and 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, January 27 at 1:30PM and 7:00PM; Tuesday, January 29 at 8:00PM; Wednesday, January 30 at 8:00PM, and Thursday, January 31 at 8:00PM.

Theater of the Stars

Celebrating 60 seasons of producing and presenting Broadway, Theater of the Stars is one of the oldest and most respected regional theaters in America.

Since the organization’s founding in 1953, they have produced or presented over 700 productions in Atlanta, across the country, and around the world.

Theatre of the Stars is a not-for-profit organization run by a Board of dedicated volunteer Trustees. They have played a leading role in the birth or development of several of Atlanta’s artistic institutions including the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Ballet, the Atlanta Children’s Theatre, the Grand Opera in the Park, the Winter Play Series, and the Just Us Theatre Company.
