A Day of Waiting

Today is Thursday. Thursday-October 8, 2009.

I'm sitting here in a hospital room...next to my Dad. Thinking about everything going on around me.

Today is Thursday. Thursday, October 8, 2009.

So much has transpired in my life in the past seven months. Sometimes, I don't know if I'm coming or going. Sometimes, as a Mom, I have so much on my plate, I can't think straight. ...and sometimes, life is so easy, the days just gracefully slip by.

Today is not one of those days....on the lighter side, today is a day of Pixie Dust and hope.

By that, I mean so many of my Disney girlfriends and I are patiently (okay, maybe not so patiently) awaiting word from Disney to see if we've advanced to the second round of the Moms Panel selection.

(Disney's Mom Panel is a very select group of women that Disney chooses each year to represent them and to help answer questions from people all over the world. I say select because they are only picking 10 this year, down from 16 last year, AND they get almost 20,000 applicants every year.)

Historically, Disney has chosen this week to let people know they've advanced to the second round. I know most of you will be in SHOCK when you read this, but I have never been chosen to advance past round 1! I know--shocking, huh? Oh well....life goes on, right?

...and oh yeah, speaking of life...did I mention where I am blogging from? Yep, that's right--North Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, GA.

Turns out my Dad has some blockages in his heart, and he will moved to St. Joseph's later this afternoon for angioplasty.

Yep--it's Thursday. Thursday, October 8th....

Please pray for me and for my Dad. So many of you have been praying and you have been so kind to leave me facebook and twitter messages. I want you to know that I am reading every single one, and I am listening to you all.

To my girlfriends (you know who you are)--thank you for your shoulders over the past eight months. I AM LISTENING, and I am trying.

Thanks for letting me digress off my normal grocery deal and Disney postings. I hope to have a few happier posts soon about our last trip to Disney.

My kids and I had a truly magical time, and I can't wait to share some of it with each of you!

Ciao!
