I know a lot of you use coupons and a lot of you do the grocery stores, Publix in particular.
But, do you do the drug stores? If you study the grocery blogs, you will quickly find out that you can get some really great deals at these stores, and sometimes, you can even get money back!
As an example, let's look at my Rite-Aid trip from earlier today. If you glance thru my explanations below the picture, you can see how I got $60 worth of stuff for under $6!
It may look like a lot of work, but "doing" the drug stores is no more work than doing Publix or Kroger. Just get your coupons together before you go, and then, enter your receipt when you get home, so you don't forget your rebates.
If you take a little time, you can really stock up your pantry and medicine cabinets with name brand items and food products. I think the time invested is well worth the bountiful payoff the drug stores put out.
16 cans of Campbell's soup @ $.50 - $.10 MQ = $.40/can
2, Bumble Bee Pouch Tuna @ $1.25/pouch - $1 MQ = $.25/pouch
2, RA Double Roll Bath Tissue @ $3.50
1 Zyrtec Eye Drops @ $14.99 - $4 MQ = $10.99
1 Zyrtec 30ct tablets @ $18.99 - $4 MQ = $14.99
$31.88 - (2) $5/$25 RA Qs (my total before coupons was right over $50) = $21.88
$21.88 - $1 SCR (TP) - $10 RA Rebate (on Zyrtec products) - $5 Gift of Savings RA Rebate = $5.88 GRAND TOTAL OOP
So, I was able to get everything pictured here for almost $6! It's an easy way to get ready for the winter months ahead.
If you have any questions about this trip, the abbreviations I use, or how to get started, please drop me a line. I'll be happy to help you get started!
