It occurred to me, while posting my Disboards' Disney Picture of the Day, that I should blog about some of the **FREE** things available to do at Disney.
Maybe not **FREE** in the sense that NO money is paid (after all, for this one, you will have to pay to get into Epcot), but **FREE** in the sense that there is something to do at Disney that most people overlook and that won't cost you one penny extra.
Today, and for my first highlight, I'm going to tell you about a neat little "station" tucked away in a corner inside Innventions EAST (the side facing Test Track and Mission Space).
This neat little exhibit teaches us how to MAKE PAPER. Yep, that's right--how to make paper. Each child (or grown-up) can take their turn at making an actual piece of scrap paper from scratch. You will get to roll out your material, press it, and even BAKE IT! When the paper is done, the Cast Members will hand you a Jiminy Cricket ink stamp to stamp an image on your paper.
My 10-year old has loved this station inside Innoventions for years now, and always races to it when we arrive. Normally, this little station, situated near the entrance/exit doors, is overlooked and goes unnoticed. Which means, for those of us that choose to participate in this "event," there is virtually no wait time(s) involved!
The great thing about this station is that it is **FREE** (my favorite word), and you come away with a neat little souvenir of your trip!
So the next time you visit Disney's Epcot park, slow down on your way to Test Track and Mission Space! Take a minute to stop in and visit Innoventions East. You'll be glad you did!
