Today's plum district deal is $25 for a ticket to the Chastain Arts Center's Painting Party (you choose the date):
You’ve got to paint for the right, to partaaaay! Unleash your inner artist and enjoy a great social event for adults (21 and over). Paint, have drinks and food, and take pleasure in the company of friends at a painting party at the Chastain Arts Center. Every month they will pay homage to art history through a famous artistic style, technique, or artist's vision. Choose one of three nights to attend a painting party:
January 7, 7-9:30pm - Seurat in the City
This month’s painting technique is inspired by Georges Seurat. Students will have the chance to modernize an impressionistic painting technique to create their own original nighttime cityscape of Atlanta.
February 4, 7-9:30pm - Ode to O’Keefe (couples and singles class)
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Come enjoy a romantic night out with that special someone or make some new friends while making a work of art. In the end, you will create a one of a kind Georgia O’Keefe inspired monumental flower painting.
March 4, 7-9:30pm - Van Gogh “Sun and Stars”
This night is open to everyone who needs a break from work to enjoy a little creative time. You will be making celestial moon and stars paintings in the style of Van Gogh.
Art is fun—whether you are the novice, the social painter, or the professional! This is perfect for a ladies’ night out, a date night, or to feed your curiosity or the craving you have for painting. Snacks and all drinks are welcome; Chastain will supply the rest.
