It's showtime! Tonight, Guys and Dolls opens at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in downtown Atlanta!
Theater of the Stars presents GUYS AND DOLLS for eight performances from Tuesday, August 16 through Sunday, August 21. Tickets range from $25-$65 and are on sale now at www.theaterofthestars.com. Discounted group tickets for 15 or more can be purchased by calling 404-881-2000 or on-line at www.foxtheatre.org/groupsales.aspx.
This oddball romantic comedy - considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy - soars with the spirit of Broadway as it introduces us to a cast of vivid characters who have become legends in the canon: Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight "mission doll," out to reform the evildoers of Time Square; Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love; Adelaide, the chronically ill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact she's been engaged to the same man for 14 years; and Nathan Detroit, her devoted fiancé, desperate as always to find a spot for his infamous floating crap game. GUYS AND DOLLS has an unforgettable score by Frank Loesser that includes such classics as "Adelaide's Lament," "Luck Be a Lady Tonight," and "Sit Down, You're Rockin' The Boat."
I have never seen this play, and I am excited to be going tonight! If you don't have your tickets yet, make sure you visit the links above and catch Guys and Dolls while it in Atlanta!
See you at The Fox Threatre!
