Gwinnett Center announced today that they will host their first International Film Festival, July 27 – 28, 2013.  This festival will celebrate the efforts of local, independent filmmakers, while providing awareness of filmmakers from across the country and internationally.  This festival is open to filmmakers of any age.  There will be three screening rooms, classes and panel discussions presented throughout the event.
Submissions for the Gwinnett Center International Film Festival open on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10:00AM.  Independent films must be submitted by the filmmaker to www.withoutabox.com.  The early-bird deadline is May 10, 2013, and the final deadline for film entry is June 14, 2013.

“Our goal is to give Gwinnett filmmakers the ability to network with industry professionals in an atmosphere that is accommodating to the novice filmmaker,” said Selina Branstetter, Performing Arts Center Manager.

Awards will be presented to the most innovative and artistic filmmakers in a variety of categories.  There will be a special honor for local, student-made films.  All awards will be presented during closing ceremonies on Sunday, July 28, 2013.
