"Restore Your Outdoors" With Ace Hardware and The Weather Channel® This Summer!

Ace Hardware, the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the industry, and The Weather Channel announce the launch of "Restore Your Outdoors" -- an initiative pairing the personal, knowledgeable, and helpful service that customers have come to expect when shopping at their neighborhood Ace store with the trusted local weather knowledge they depend on from The Weather Channel.

As part of this program, beginning this week, homeowners from across the country can enter for a chance to win $15,000 in Ace gift cards.

In addition to the sweepstakes, Ace's alliance with The Weather Channel provides homeowners with the tips and tools they need to complete their outdoor home maintenance tasks.  With the help of Ace's Home Expert, Lou Manfredini, and Ace's Design Expert, Julie Richard, "Restore Your Outdoors" is designed to provide easy-to-execute suggestions for homes across the country, including how updating and maintaining your outdoor living areas can make your home more inviting, how top brands like Craftsman® products can help you maintain your home, and how to use inspiration from the outdoors when choosing paint colors.

"Many homeowners have a list of home maintenance projects they've thought about, but never taken on, simply because they don't know where to begin," said Manfredini.  "Together with The Weather Channel we're able to not only offer one lucky winner the opportunity to update their outdoor space, but also provide our more personal kind of helpful to homeowners across the country."

Throughout May, consumers are invited to enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win $15,000 in Ace gift cards.  Additionally, each week during the promotion, Ace will be giving away a $100 gift card to one lucky winner.  Official rules and details can be found online on Ace Hardware's Facebook page or The Weather Channel brand's Facebook page.

"With the weather finally starting to warm up, we know people are excited about getting outside and enjoying their outdoor space.  The weather forecast is crucial," said Randi Stipes, vice president of client solutions at The Weather Company.  "Ace and The Weather Channel both understand the importance of providing the necessary information to consumers to help them make planning decisions, with a little inspiration along the way.  The alliance allows us to deliver on our goal to help weather enthusiasts live their best life outdoors, while also helping highlight Ace's commitment to being The Helpful Place in your neighborhood, both inside and outside its store walls."

Throughout the months of May and June, four makeovers hosted by Manfredini and Richard will air on The Weather Channel as well as appear on a "Restore Your Outdoors" tab on Ace and The Weather Channel brand's Facebook pages.
