Introducing Walmart+ and a Christmas Wreath Steal Deal!

Walmart is ramping up their competitiveness with Amazon.

Introducing Walmart+.

For about $13 a month or $98 a year ($1 less than Amazon's current Prime price), you can get the same great Walmart prices and products along with free, unlimited delivery and special prices on Walmart/Murphy gas stations.

If you're a staunch Walmart customer and have a busy schedule, this may be a great new service for you.  Walmart is promoting their new membership program by stating that if you order delivery only twice, the membership pays for itself.  (I've never used Walmart's delivery service, so I can't confirm that personally.)

But I do always love a discount at the gas pump and a membership that will pay for itself almost immediately.  Click on the image above to visit Walmart and sign up today.

On another front, I am so excited to tell you about a Steal Deal (Great Buy) I found on walmart.com.  I know it's only September, but you know how these things go...if you don't order what I'm about to show you, it will sell out and you'll miss the opportunity.

Thanks to a friendly IG user who originally shared the product, I was able to order two while I was on vacation last week.  I opened the boxes this afternoon, and yes!  Two large white flocked Christmas wreaths!  (I've been wanting a flocked Christmas tree and some wreaths for a while.)

With the farmhouse and modern industrial looks being so popular for the last few years, the flocked Christmas items are really in style and match both looks perfectly.  For that very reason, they either sell out quickly or cost an arm and a leg.

That's why I was so excited to find this wreath:

It's 24" and white flocked.  Beautiful, and guess what?  It's under $7!

I know it's only September, but this wreath won't last long.  It's so pretty, I went back online and ordered several more.  I can't wait to use them.  Here's a close up of the flocking.  It's thick and not a cheap, light spraying.  This wreath is really, really nice!

It's marked as for indoor use only, but I am going to use mine on a covered front porch.  I think it will be fine there.

Are you ordering one?  Let me know if you do and how you are planning on using it to decorate.  I can't wait to see your pictures!

Happy shopping ladies!

Easy Patio Tips from Pike Nurseries!

Header image
To help homeowners looking for simple, last-minute ways to build a picturesque backyard landscape, the garden gurus at Pike Nurseries have solid suggestions – sure to take that barbecue to the next level.
ImageFrom starting with the basics to elevating the space with pops of color, added lighting, hanging planters, herb gardens, and more, these tips will allow homeowners to turn backyards to entertaining destinations!
Easy Tips for Building Outdoor Entertainment Spaces
·     The Basics
Create structure and give guests a comfortable place to sit, sip, and stay a while with stylish, durable patio furniture. When deciding what furniture is best, the experts recommend taking the sizes of both the outdoor space and guest list into consideration. Dining sets are great for larger parties, while a cozy, over-sided seating group is ideal for small get-togethers. If the goal is to create a nook to read and sip coffee, a hanging basket or Adirondack chair are great additions. Finally, a grill will complete the ultimate entertainment space, and don’t forget to add a side table for coffee or cocktails!

Image·     Fill Large Voids
Once the patio furniture is in place, homeowners should step back to see if there are large areas of the landscape, deck, or patio that beckon for more. Consider the addition of shrubs, fountains, or a walkway to fill those voids.

·     Vertical Interest
Dazzle guests with elements of interest at every viewpoint!  Add vertical highlights to any outdoor space by incorporating colorful hanging baskets, climbing vines, or shady trees.

Image·     Functionality
The Pike Nurseries experts recommend adding personal touches to outdoor spaces for increased functionality.  For example, culinary enthusiasts can incorporate herb containers, veggies, or even a potted dwarf citrus tree for quick garden-to-grill meals, while nature-lovers should consider adding pollinators such as salvia, lantana, or a butterfly bush to bring fluttering friends to the garden.

·     It’s all in the Details
Refresh and renew any space with additional decor!  For daytime gatherings, homeowners can add pops of color with decorative throw pillows and tabletop planters with blooming flowers or easy-care succulents.  Create special evening ambiance with the addition of string lights, garden stakes, or ornamental globes.

Amazon! Cheap Letter Boards

I'm sure you've all seen them by now.  Letter boards.

They are the newest decorating craze.  I've looked at these things for a while now.  One of the most popular suppliers, Letter Folk, sells them for a pretty penny.

So, enough said.  I never got one.

Then today, I ran across a deal.  Amazon, and it hit me.  I should have figured it would be Amazon.  It's always Amazon.

Amazon has a wide variety of letter boards available - from small to large, different woods, different felts, different combinations (some come with easels).  I finally found the version shown above and decided to order it.

The most frugal boards on Amazon run about $19.95 (with Prime shipping), and this one is only $5 more, but it comes with almost double the amount of characters plus symbols and emojis!  I love that...

I can't wait to receive this letter board!  I'm so excited.  (Yes, I am geeky like that.)  If you'd like to order this same board from Amazon, just click on any of the images above.  Shipping is **FREE** if you have a Prime membership, which always makes the deal sweeter.

Happy shopping!

Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza Offer New Experiences!

Header image

Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza, two iconic shopping and lifestyle destinations located in the heart of Buckhead and owned by Simon, announced today the addition of new shopping and dining options scheduled to open later this year.

Lenox Square

Lenox Square will introduce Hammer Made and Sweet Hut Bakery & Café and remodeled Pandora, Hollister, Bath & Body Works, and Aéropostale stores, while Phipps Plaza will welcome Papyrus, Tutti Nails & Spa, and an expanded Frontgate location.
This announcement follows the 2016 store openings of Ted Baker London, ivivva, Peloton, UNOde50, and La Fête Chocolat at Lenox Square, as well as the dining additions of Taziki's Mediterranean Café, Rise Pies, and Five Guys.
Phipps Plaza

Across the street, Phipps Plaza welcomed PHILIPP PLEIN, Ticknors Men’s Clothier, and Earl of Sandwich.  Atlantans can also anticipate the previously announced Daniel Reed’s Public Kitchen & Bar and Ecco, scheduled to open in 2017 at Phipps Plaza.
“We welcomed a number of impressive brands in 2016 and we’re looking forward to continuing that positive momentum in 2017,” said Carol Cox, area director of marketing and business development for Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza.  “With these new offerings, residents and visitors of Atlanta will continue to discover something new each time they visit Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza.”
Scheduled to open in April, Hammer Made is a men's clothing boutique offering an apparel collection that contains distinctive, limited-run shirts made from the world's finest fabrics.  The new store will open at Lenox Square in a 1,009-square foot space on the upper level near Macy’s.
Sweet Hut Bakery & Café, a favored Atlanta spot for Asian-inspired desserts, will open a new location in April at Lenox Square’s Fashion Café.  The 436-square foot eatery will offer over a hundred bakery products and signature bubble teas and drinks in a modern and cozy environment.
Across Peachtree Road at Phipps Plaza, Papyrus will open in a 1,242-square foot store near Hanna Andersson across from VINCE and LK Bennett on the main level.  Its new location will offer a selection of greeting cards, stationery, wrap, ribbon, and gifts.
Scheduled to open in June, Tutti Nails & Spa, a luxurious full-service spa salon,  will open near Rigby & Peller on the second level in a 3,758-square foot space. The salon will offer day spa treatments including hair, nail, and massage treatments in a modern environment to evoke a sense of complete relaxation.
Also located on the second level, Frontgate, a leading retailer of luxury home products, will expand into a 19,615-square foot store in the Nordstrom wing in fall 2017, featuring The Frontgate Experience, an immersive 360-degree environment that brings the Frontgate brand to life.  Frontgate, at its core, is all about grand living, welcoming, entertaining, and creating personal spaces that are beautiful as well as livable.  This store will speak to those attributes while showcasing the full breadth of the brand from interiors, outdoor living, entertaining, and seasonal décor in a comfortable environment.  Frontgate will couple this new retail experience with events and workshops on topics such as tabletop décor tips, decorating advice, and gourmet recipes.
