More from Camp Minnie Mickey

Camp Minnie Mickey - This "land" inside Disney's Animal Kingdom can be found by crossing the bridge from Discovery Island.

..and since I am all about Disney "secrets," here is one for you: While you are walking over the bridge toward Camp Minnie Mickey, peer to your right.

This is what you will see:

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you; this waterfall has been shaped to form a prehistoric-type dragon of some sort.

This is Disney's un-official nod to Beastly Kingdom. (Don't know about Disney's Beastly Kingdom? Google it! It's an interesting story in the history of Disney's Animal Kingdom.)

Now, that you've crossed the bridge and arrived at Camp Minnie Mickey, look around you. You will notice that both the furniture and scenery have changed to a more mountainous, Adirondack-style and feel.

Since Disney is all in the details, it goes without saying that all furniture in this section was hand-crafted by Adirondack artisans before being shipped to Walt Disney World! (No, "off-the-rack" furniture here folks!)

...and since we have now arrived at the land of Camp Minnie Mickey, here are a few of my shots from our family's time there in 2008. (Wow, how my kids have changed since then!)

Enjoy!
