Today's Atlanta Groupon deal is for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra - $29 Dress Circle Seats (a $74 value)!

You can choose from three different concerts.  Here are the details:
Without classical music, brides would have to run down the aisle to the tune of "Yackety Sax" and supervillains would have nothing to play on their pipe organs. Experience the transcendent medium in its natural habitat with today's Groupon: for $29, you get a Dress Circle seat for one of three programs presented by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in its elegant and acoustically pristine Symphony Hall. Click here to view the secret future-predicting chart that also just happens to be the Symphony Hall floor plan. Dress Circle seats (Section 9) are some of the most exclusive and intimate seats in the hall.

Choose from the following shows:
  • Beethoven & Mahler: Conductor Robert Spano and pianist Emanuel Ax collaborate on a gorgeous performance that soars from Beethoven's lyrical and introspective Piano Concerto no. 4 to Mahler's soulful Symphony no. 1 in D Major, Titan, of which the composer said, "The emotions became so powerful that they gushed forth like an impetuous torrent." Thursday, September 30; Friday, October 1; and Saturday, October 2, at 8 p.m.

  • Strauss & Brahms: Donald Runnicles conducts Brahms's Symphony no. 2 and Johann Strauss, Jr.'s Blue Danube Waltz, the most famous waltz ever written. A performance of Berg's Violin Concerto, meanwhile, showcases the "virtuosic technique" (New York Times) of violinist Julian Rachlin.

  • Thursday, October 14; Friday, October 15; and Saturday, October 16, at 8 p.m. *Janacek: Glagolitic Mass: This spellbinding program opens with Ligeti's Atmosphéres, commonly known as the soundtrack for the mind-bending star gate scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Bartòk brings things back down to earth with a scintillating account of robbery, seduction, and murder in "Suite from The Miraculous Mandarin" before the magnificent chorus erupts with Janácek's epic Glagolitic Mass. Thursday, October 21, and Saturday, October 23, at 8 p.m.
Listening to music live is pretty much the only way to experience it. In person, the rich tones of the woodwinds resonate with the brass so beautifully that it's hard not to flood your shirt with tears. When rhythmic structures ring through the perfect acoustics of Symphony Hall, you'll feel a sublime and ticklish sensation as the epic frequencies harmonize with your soul.

To take advantage of this sweet deal, you can visit the Atlanta Groupon site.
