HOLIDAY SHOPPING TIPS GEARED TO VALUE DRIVEN SHOPPERS

The Mills’ “More Factor” approach to shopping meets consumer demand

As a leading portfolio of mega outlet and value retail destinations including Discover Mills, the largest property in Atlanta with more than 180 stores, The Mills will be a magnet for shoppers who insist on finding great deals this holiday season. This year more than ever, we are ready to welcome thousands of eager value-driven shoppers from around the globe to our widely popular centers in 13 states and are here to offer some insider tips.

“We all like to get a great deal and we feel good when we save some extra money, especially these days,” said Kelly Mikesell, vice president of marketing for The Mills. “The Mills appeals to today’s shopper who demands great savings and our approach to holiday shopping, which we call the ‘More Factor,’ will focus on ways to get great brands for less and more immediate notification on amazing retailer offers.”

Shoppers at select Mills properties will enjoy the added bonus of 24 hours of shopping from Thanksgiving through Black Friday (exclusive to Sawgrass Mills), Super Sales during Black Friday weekend (including Potomac Mills, Ontario Mills and Grapevine Mills) and midnight openings on Black Friday (all Mills locations except Gurnee Mills, St. Louis Mills and Colorado Mills). Plus, shoppers at The Mills will enjoy regular social media updates and ongoing mall website offers.

We know that The Mills’ shoppers want to get the most for their money, so we offer the following insider tips as part of our ‘More Factor’ approach to shopping. Following these simple suggestions is a great way to have a stress-free and cost saving holiday shopping experience:

Be an early bird

Take advantage of early mall and store openings for door busters, which are typically worth your time and easier on the wallet. Check to see if there are special sales flyers and/or coupon books to add even more savings for all of your gift purchases.

Have a game plan

Scope out your favorite stores online ahead of your mall visit and have a clear course to save time and energy. If traveling with others, identify one landmark area to meet up and make sure to take note of where you parked your car.

Put your best foot forward

Choose the right shoes to walk the mall so you are comfortable and protected from the elements.

Shop n’ Stay

If you are traveling, check with area hotels to see if they are offering special shopping packages. You save money on your room, plus can get special offers to further your shopping adventure.

Be Social

If you are not on Facebook, Twitter or a member of the Mobile Shopper Club, maybe now is the time to join, as there will be many social media driven offers and exclusive promotions.

Keep an open mind

A gift list is great, but be sure to check out the back of your favorite stores for more amazing bargains too good to pass up for that special someone.

Do the Math

Take note of all in-store signage and read the tags to note any special stickers or markings with additional discounts. Why not use a pocket calculator or your phone so you can add up the great savings before you get in line to check-out?

Just buy it

If you think you want it, then buy it now.  Popular merchandise might not be there when you go back as stores are less likely to keep huge inventories of one item, but be sure to ask about the store’s return policy in advance.
