WHAT:
The holiday season is a very special time for the Fox Theatre. The beloved Atlanta landmark opened its doors on Christmas Day in 1929 to a sold out crowd. The first audiences were treated to a live performance from dancing girls, the original Steamboat Willie Disney carton, the Mighty Mo organ, and finally a movie, “Salute.”
This year, to celebrate the holiday season, the Fox Theatre is inviting you to make magical memories with special holiday tours:
· An intimate, 60 minute walk-through of more than 10 locations within the theater.
· Tours will run every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday at regularly scheduled times.
· The tour will be 60 minutes long, and will include warm cider or hot coco, seeing the famous Mighty Mo’, the starry-skied auditorium, and experience the feel of the season with amazing holiday decorations throughout the Fox Theatre.
