Well, it was bound to happen.  That darn Extreme Coupon show and extreme couponers have finally broken Target....no fair to us honest and non-hoarding couponers...but I guess we roll with the punches and adapt.

Remember, it is my motto--always be kind and patient and easy to work with when dealing with store management and cashiers.  I know some of them are hard to deal with and some of them don't even know their own store's coupon policies, but if we the couponers act rude and argumentative, it only serves to make more stores change their coupon policies in the future!

...and remember, please don't be a coupon hoarder!  Take only what you need and leave the rest for others!

(You may want to print out a copy of this new coupon policy from Target and keep it with you when you shop there.  I have run across many a cashier and management person that didn't know Target's corporate coupon policy.)

*Thank to Couponing to Disney for this update!

1. BOGO coupons cannot be combined (i.e. you cannot use two BOGO coupons on two items and get both for free). Unless stated otherwise on the coupon, the use of one Buy One Get One Free coupon requires that two of the valid items are presented at checkout of which one item will be charged to the guest and the 2nd item will be discounted by its full retail price.

2. A second cents-off coupon of the same type cannot be redeemed towards the purchase price of the first item.
Example: You can not use a B1G1 Old Spice manufacturer coupon and a $1/1 Old Spice coupon together anymore.

3. If a Target BOGO coupon is used, one additional manufacturer coupon maybe used on the first item.
Example: if you have a B1G1 Free Pantene Target Coupon, you may only use one $1/1 Pantene Manufacturer Coupon.

4. If a Manufacturer BOGO coupon is used, one additional Target coupon may be used on the first item.
Example: if you have a B1G1 Old Spice Body Wash Manufacturer’s Coupon, you can no longer use two $1/1 Old Spice Body Wash Target Store Coupons along with it. You may only use 1 store coupon

  1. I have been worried about that show adversely effecting coupon policies. I suppose it's only a matter of time before more stores get strict about it. grr

  2. I know, and they always spotlight people that, to me, seem to be hoarders. Once people know you like to coupon, they start asking you, "Have you seen that show?"

    **sigh**

I guess all we normal couponers can do is just continue to NOT take everything off the store shelves and abide by the coupon policies stores have in place....
