Simon,
a global leader in retail real estate and NRG eVgo (ee-vee-go), a subsidiary of
NRG Energy, Inc., are excited to debut electric car fast charging stations at
North Georgia Premium Outlets to provide an added convenience for its shoppers.
Visitors are now able to park, plug-in, and charge while enjoying the center’s savings
of 25 to 65 percent off every day.
Simon began installing charging
stations in 2011 and has since then created a network of more than 170 charging
stations nationwide at 55 locations. North Georgia Premium Outlets joins Lenox
Square, Mall of Georgia, Phipps Plaza, and Town Center at Cobb to offer electric
vehicle charging stations for its shoppers.
North Georgia Premium Outlets now
has three charging stations located in the parking lot in front of Carter’s.
Shoppers with compatible cars can use the CHAdeMO DC fast charger with the
ability to provide a LEAF or a Tesla approximately 40 miles of range in only 15
minutes of charging. Additionally, the charging stations will provide two Level
2 chargers, supportive of all EVs and plug-in Hybrids.
These charging stations are
self-service and easy to operate . Shoppers can just “pull up and plug in” and
leave their vehicles at the charging station while they enjoy time at the
center. The charging stations support Simon’s sustainability practices and
exercise the company’s green energy initiatives. While focusing on important
environmental issues, the stations also add another level of convenience to the
overall shopping experience for green drivers.
