Off to the races! Click your hooves, giddy up and save the date for Saturday, March 12 at Phipps Plaza as the Southeast’s top luxury shopping destination plans to celebrate the largest lawn party in Georgia, Atlanta Steeplechase.
Atlantans are invited to Phipps Plaza to discover the latest in fashion, flowers and food in anticipation of the races. From 12 p.m. – 4 p.m., shoppers can check in at the Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles 2016 DREAM KITCHEN in Monarch Court, grab a wristband and enjoy various demonstrations including style tips from Jack Rogers and Johnny Was, and floral demonstrations by Martin Helling of Sean O'Keefe Events. Chef Sean O'Keefe will lead a food demo at 3 p.m. featuring tailgate bites and signature cocktails.
Select stores and restaurants will also have special deals and promotions throughout the day, and shoppers can also feel good about their purchases at the “Best of Steeplechase.” Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse, Herve Leger, Jack Rogers, Johnny Was, St. Croix, Trina Turk, Vince, and more will donate a percentage of sales to Bert’s Big Adventure, Atlanta Steeplechase’s beneficiary.
Established in 2002, Bert’s Big Adventure provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children between the ages of 5 and 12 with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. It also provides year-round support for the children through additional program initiatives such as the Reunion Adventures, the Fairy Godparent volunteer program, and additional charitable services.
