ROOM & BOARD, YOLO COLORHOUSE, AND ANNIE’S HOMEGROWN SPONSOR “ROOM TO GROW” KID’S ROOM MAKEOVER CONTEST!

Got ideas on how you’d like to redecorate your kid’s room, but don’t know where to begin?

You’re in luck!  Room & Board, YOLO Colorhouse, and Annie’s Homegrown, three great family-friendly and eco-friendly companies, have joined forces to sponsor “Room to Grow,” a contest to solve one of the modern family’s perennial design problems—how to decorate your kid’s room so that it reflects their unique, creative spirit.

The contest runs through May 31, 2013 on Pinterest.

If you’re the “Room to Grow” winner, you’ll receive $7,500 worth of kid’s furnishings, floor planning, and design consultation from Room & Board; a color consultation, contracted painting services, and paint for walls and ceiling valued at $600 from YOLO Colorhouse; and a gift basket of Annie’s Homegrown products plus FREE Annie’s product coupons, valued at $1,500.

To enter, create a “Room to Grow” Pinterest board and categorize it under Home Décor.  Pin a photo of your child’s room in need of a makeover along with at least three of each of the following from the master “Room to Grow” Pinterest board:  Room & Board furnishings; YOLO Colorhouse paint swatches; and Annie’s Homegrown snacks.

Add #annies, #roomandboard, and #yolocolorhouse in the description of each image.  Submit a link to your board along with a short description explaining the inspiration behind your choices and how these items will brighten your child’s life.

Submit to contest@roomandboard.com. All entries will be judged by representatives from each company and based on originality, creativity, and adherence to the rules. For complete entry requirements and Official Rules, visit www.roomandboard.com/roomtogrow.  The contest is not sponsored by or associated with Pinterest.

REVIEW - Zim's Products

Recently, I was contacted by Zim's (naturally based health care products) to review a few of their products and possibly do a giveaway.

I agreed to try the products and let you know about them.

Here are the three products I reviewed:
  • Zim's Max-Freeze - for muscle & joint pain relief

  • Crack Creme - the product Perfecta Products (Zim's Parent company) was originally founded with more than 60 years ago

  • Zim's Heat
For those of you that don't know, in additional to being a travel planner and owning and running three blogs, I work full-time for my County's school system - in an elementary school cafe.  As you can imagine, this job includes lifting heavy objects from time to time and dealing with extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).

Last week, I was burned while carrying something.  It turns out, what didn't feel bad at the time turned into a second-degree burn.  Using the Zim's Max-Freeze on my burn help soothe and heal the skin over the past week.  Max-Freeze contains aloe and Vitamin E -- two things I was told to put on the burn to help it heal.  The product is a clear "gel" (reminiscent of Neosporin) and went on smoothly with no odor.

Zim's says, about this product,
"...provides a cooling sensation and is formulated with naturally-based ingredients including aloe, arnica, and Vitamin E."

I have not tried the Maximum Heat yet, although Zim's tells me it's for, "backaches, strains, and sprains."  As soon as I have sore necks and shoulders again from work, I will be using this product!  Keeping it close-at-hand for now!

The other product Zim's sent me (Crack Creme) has been good for softening and moisturizing.  I originally thought this would be a creme (hence, the name) when I opened the box, but it turns out - it's a spray.  Very nice and handy for easily applying to the areas you need it most.  Here is what Zim's has to say about Crack Creme,
"...an herbal formula used to soften and moisturize dry, cracked skin on hand, feet, elbows, and cuticles using naturally based ingredients of arnica and aloe."

All in all, I have enjoyed using these products from Zim's, and I am very appreciative for the opportunity to try them here at home (especially in my line of work).  They have helped me in the areas of dry skin and soothing hurting skin.  I would certainly buy them and use them again in the future dependent upon how well they worked this time.

If you are interested in trying any of Zim's products, they currently have a $2 coupon on their facebook page.  Here are some more facts about Zim's:
  • Zim's products are formulated from organic and naturally-based herbal ingredients

  • Zim's goal is to distribute superb natural products that will make a difference in people's lives

  • Zim's was founded over 60 years ago with just one product (Crack Creme)

  • Zim's products are ideal for people seeing natural products, people seeing a higher quality of life, and people in need of temporary pain relief

  • Zim's product lines are primarily used by men and women between the ages of 25 and 54; weekend warriors; and people with arthritis and diabetes

  • Zim's products can be found in nearly every major retailer and on-line
You may visit Zim's on either their facebook page or their website.

*Disclosure:  I was provided with **FREE** products to try in exchange for a fair and honest review of  said products.

**A quick look through Amazon's products, and I was able to find an extremely wide array of Zim's products.  Below are just a few I found:
