National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day December 15 - Mall of Georgia to Celebrate!

Shoppers are invited to revel in Mall of Georgia’s National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day on Friday, December 15 from noon – 2 p.m.

Festive patrons can visit with Santa, enjoy tasty holiday treats, and participate in children’s crafts in the Von Maur Court – as well as take a photo with Santa for extra laughs!  Participants can also stop by Guest Services any time on December 15 to show off their attire and receive a complimentary Savings Passport that includes discounts from over 30 retailers.  Macy’s, Charming Charlie, Francesca’s, Claire’s, and Forever 21 have an array of best (or worst) ugly holiday sweaters to wear to this jolly event!

Sugarloaf Mills to host Back-to-School Bash on July 30!

In celebration of Georgia’s Tax Free Holiday, local shoppers are invited to gear up for school in style with Sugarloaf Mills’ Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, July 30 from 1-4 p.m.

 Attendees will be among the first to view the latest trends in fall fashion from retailers including Charlotte Russe, Kenneth Cole Outlet, Levi’s Outlet, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Old Navy, Sun & Ski Sports, and more!

Planned entertainment and activities include music by a DJ, six fall fashion segments, and giveaways as well as a braid and ponytail bar, lip lounge, candy corner, and a selfie station. The first 200 guests will receive a swag bag filled goodies from Sugarloaf Mills and its stores!

Phipps Plaza to Transform Entrance

Phipps Plaza, the Southeast’s top luxury shopping destination located in the heart of Atlanta’s fashionable Buckhead district, will soon have a striking, new luxury streetscape at its Peachtree Road entrance.

As part of the center’s multi-phase renovation, its new entrance will feature an elegant façade of storefronts representing some of the coveted brands that call Phipps Plaza home.

Slated to be complete by the end of 2015, the dramatic new façade is designed to complement the interior and exterior renovations that have taken place at the property over the past year.  The entrance will consist of intricately designed, perforated metal panels highlighting luxury brands from Phipps Plaza’s impressive retail roster, including Jeffrey, Versace, Tiffany & Co., Giorgio Armani, BOSS Hugo Boss, and Bottega Veneta. The new Peachtree Road entrance will also feature a backlit glass curtain wall that will create a dynamic gateway to the property both day and night.

Interior renovations already completed include upgraded LED lighting, a complete repainting, new white carerra marble accents, an updated railing system, luxury soft seating and lounging areas, upgraded restrooms and the installation of a hotel-like concierge center.

Phipps Plaza has previously announced the addition of a residential project, “Domain at Phipps Plaza.”  With 319 mid-rise, urban-style luxury residences and a variety of floor plans to be developed with Columbus Realty Partners, Ltd., “Domain at Phipps Plaza” is scheduled to open in phases during July through November 2016. The center has also announced a joint venture with Noble Investment Group, which will bring the acclaimed AC Hotels by Marriott brand to Buckhead, slated for a May 2016 opening.
